What Hair Products Kim Kardashian Used To Pull Off The “Getting Out Of The Water” Look

Kim Kardashian hit the 2019 Met Gala in a body-hugging Mugler dress, but it was Kim’s “out of the water” hairstyle that stole the show, here are what products were used and how she pulled it off.

We can sit and talk all day about Kim Kardashian’s nearly waist-less Mugler dress, bringing the term hourglass figure, to a whole different level. There was no surprise that the 38-year-old would be wearing something that would defy the laws of physics. However, it’s her out of the water hairstyle that merits brownie points. Simply put, Kim’s hair was totally stunning, as her wet look blended in perfectly with her attire.

Surprisingly, the hairstyle is not hard to pull off and very affordable. Here is a look at the hair products Kim Kardashian used for her wet look at the Met Gala.

Raw video shows shine difference, comparing front to back

Surprisingly Kim’s hair combo is fairly simple. Hairstylist, Chris Appleton took charge of Kim’s wet look and absolutely killed it. Chris talked about Kim’s hair stating, “We wanted Kim to look like she was getting out of the water.”

This raw, 30 second, video of Kim Kardashian’s Wet look hairstyle at the Met Gala, clearly shows the front side of her head is where the product must be heavily applied. The back of her head is much drier and less shiny.

What Hair Products Kim Kardashian Used

For starters, hair must be damp to create a strong base. Chris first uses DREAM COAT Anti-Humidity Hair Treatment, $28, on Kim’s damp hair, to create a strong base and help add shine. Chris mentions, “It’s important to use on damp hair and apply the product in sections to ensure that the hair is completely saturated. Then blow-dry the hair to create a smooth finish.”

The next step is to apply Color Wow Pop & Lock Gloss Treatment, $20, and Color Wow Cult Favorite Firm + Flexible Hairspray, $24, all over the hair. He finishes by explaining, “Once both products were distributed evenly throughout the hair, create an off-center part and create waves by pushing the hair backward and forward in an “S” motion.”

Here is a look at Chris applying DREAM COAT Anti-Humidity Hair Treatment to Kim’s damp hair, while fading some heat over it simultaneously.

All three Color Wow hair products used on Kim can be purchased for under $75. Obviously, the task seems easier when a top hairstylist is taking care of you. But with a cheap price tag for the hair products used on Kim, there is nothing holding you back.

Kim has a history of winning over her wet-look hairstyles. But it’s her 2019 Met Gala, out of the water look, that was absolutely spot on.

It’s time to get to work ladies and try it for yourselves.
